Ping’an Cave in Ulanqab City — According to legend, the Eight Immortals once visited Yongxing Lake many years ago. One day, numerous rocks fell from the sky. Realizing the danger, they quickly took shelter in Ping’an Cave and narrowly escaped disaster. It was later discovered that the incident was caused by the Monkey King causing havoc in Heaven. To thank the cave for saving them, they bestowed upon it the name “Ping’an Cave” (Cave of Peace). Since then, the cave has been regarded as sacred.
