Blue Lagoon is located in a fertile and beautiful valley in the northern part of Malta, surrounded by picturesque scenery and tranquil surroundings, making it one of the most famous attractions on Gozo Island. Blue Lagoon is world-renowned for its unique beach, where the sand differs from other beaches on Gozo, appearing yellowish-red. In fact, the name of this beach, when translated from Maltese, literally means "Red Beach."

The beach at Blue Lagoon is very wide and covered with plenty of soft, comfortable sand. The western and eastern parts of the beach are mountainous, where many local farmers grow fruit trees and flowers on the slopes. Various blossoms bloom brilliantly, butterflies flutter about, and bees buzz busily collecting nectar, adding even more beauty to the landscape. Every summer, many locals and international visitors come to Blue Lagoon for relaxation and vacation.
