Introduction Qingqiong is a medieval town where its squares, castles, and small inns retain their appearance from hundreds of years ago.

The most prominent feature in the town is the Qingqiong Square, built in the 16th century. With 234 terraces facing the square, it becomes an open-air grand stage. It was once used for markets and religious ceremonies and still frequently hosts bullfights and other performances today. Many films have been shot here, such as *Around the World in Eighty Days* and *Campanadas a medianoche*.

The Church of Asunción was built in the 16th–17th centuries. The brother of Spanish painter Goya once served as a priest here, and Goya spent a long time accompanying him. The San Agustín Monastery has been converted into a publicly accessible state-owned castle hotel.
