The Las Ventas Bullring (Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas), is Spain’s most famous bullring. The bullring is located in the Guindalera district of the Salamanca neighborhood in eastern Madrid and was built in 1929.

The architect of the bullring was Espeliú, and the building style is Neo-Mudéjar. It has 25,000 seats, and the bullring has a diameter of about 65 meters, making it one of the largest rings in the world.

The ticket prices inside the bullring depend on how close you are to the action and whether your seat is in the sun or the shade.

The bullfighting season runs from March to December. Bullfights take place every day during the Feast of San Isidro and every Sunday or holiday during the season, starting at 6 PM and lasting nearly three hours until sunset.

Bullfighting in Spain originated as a celebratory activity for royal commendations, weddings, births, and military victories, and later became a folk tradition. There are even schools dedicated to training bullfighters.
