Located in the heart of Madrid, the capital of Spain, in the Chueca district known for its fashion, arts, and nightlife, a design boutique hotel that blends modernity with historical charm has emerged—Only You Hotel & Lounge, which is the debut property in Madrid under the Ayre Hotel brand of Spain’s Palladium Hotel Group, built with an investment of twenty million euros, reflecting the city’s diverse faces through its bold and fashionable hotel design.

The building was renovated from a neoclassical structure dating back to the mid-19th century. It has four floors, with pale gray stone walls and a striking black cast iron gate. Originally the residence of a Marquis of Alhama, it also once housed a bookstore called “Librería Padrino.” To pay homage to its history, Barcelona-based interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán preserved the bookstore’s sign as part of the façade and integrated colonial-style design to perfectly blend the elegance and fashion of the interiors with the historical essence of the architecture. Using a refreshing palette of blue and white as the main colors, the space exudes a mature and composed atmosphere—seemingly light and airy, yet never frivolous. Colonial design elements can be found throughout: pale pink walls, dark brown wood, exposed ceiling beams, arched floor-to-ceiling windows with intricate carvings, cast iron balconies, and built-in fireplaces. The indigo leather on the walls adds a touch of elegant luxury, further enhanced by contrasting orange armchairs, abstract art, colorful area rugs, and silver-toned metal furnishings, adding a bold modern design flair.

The GastroBar in the hotel lobby captivates with its countless square arched carvings on the high-ceilinged white walls, drawing admiration.
