The Royal Opera House is located in Madrid, the capital of Spain. After 32 years of planning, design, and construction, the opera house opened in 1850 and was renovated in 1997 to become an opera venue once again, making it the most luxurious opera house in Spain.

As a national landmark, the Royal Opera House's most distinctive feature is its 1,472-square-meter stage area, which includes 18 interconnected platforms that allow for multiple stage setups simultaneously.
