Madrid Arena is an indoor arena located in Madrid. Due to naming rights, it is also known as the Telefónica Madrid Arena. The arena was designed by Spanish architects in 2001 and is used for sports events, commercial, cultural, and entertainment activities. The dome of the arena covers approximately 11,000 square meters and is supported by 181 pillars, with a retractable skylight on the roof that allows natural light to enter.

Madrid Arena was completed and opened in 2002. It has three levels, and the central area features three retractable outdoor stands that can be adjusted according to different events. The arena has a total of 12,000 seats, which can accommodate 10,248 people for basketball games and 12,000 for boxing matches. From 2003 to 2010, it served as the home court for the Spanish ACB League team Estudiantes. Numerous events have been held here, including the WTA Tour Championships in 2006, the EuroBasket tournament in 2007, and multiple tennis tournaments from 2002 to 2008.
