The Erasmus Bridge is a single-tower, dual-cable-stayed bridge spanning the Nieuwe Maas River. Completed in 1996, it has now become the official symbol of Rotterdam. With an 802-meter-long span and a 139-meter-high asymmetrical pylon that resembles a gracefully dancing white swan, the Erasmus Bridge is also affectionately known as the "Swan Bridge."

With its sleek design, snow-white structure, and elegant, slender profile, the Erasmus Bridge gracefully glides like a noble swan over the Maas River. As the tallest bridge in the Netherlands, it features 2,600 steps, countless pathways, and accommodates vehicles, trams, bicycles, pedestrians, and skateboarders — a remarkable embodiment of Dutch pragmatism. At night, under the glow of lighting, the bridge appears even more pristine and seems to dance more vibrantly. Many passersby stop to admire its beautiful form and take photos with it.
