BMW is actually the German abbreviation for Bayerische Motoren Werke (Bavarian Motor Works). The headquarters of BMW is located next to the Olympic Park in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. Its museum was established in 1972 right beside the headquarters and is well worth visiting. Here, visitors can gain deeper insights into the development history and technological advancements of BMW automobiles.

The BMW Museum is a paradise for car enthusiasts. The roof of its bowl-shaped building features a circular plane adorned with the blue-and-white BMW roundel on the roof, where blue symbolizes the sky and white represents a propeller. The museum’s exhibition hall is designed as a surrounding space, showcasing various BMW cars, motorcycles, scooters, and special-purpose vehicle samples produced over the years, arranged according to different eras. It employs modern high-tech methods such as sound, light, electricity, and multimedia, along with photographic and audiovisual materials, to enhance the artistic presentation of the exhibits and comprehensively illustrate the growth and development history of the BMW company.

The BMW Museum exhibition hall has three floors. The most eye-catching display on the first floor is Bond's Z5 car from the 007 films, as well as a BMW 1500cc motorcycle that traveled around the world. The rest of the floor features exquisitely crafted and expensive BMW car models. The exhibits include mostly classic cars and concept vehicles, with very few of the latest road-going models—after all, this is a museum, not a showroom.
