The ISPO Munich Sports Trade Fair is regarded as one of the world’s premier outdoor industry exhibitions. On January 29, 2012, the International Mountaineering and Climbing Federation (UIAA) will be present at the ISPO Munich exhibition.
The exhibition offers the UIAA a valuable opportunity to communicate with mountain gear manufacturers that have adopted the UIAA Safety Label, and to engage directly with outdoor equipment suppliers interested in joining the UIAA Safety Label. The UIAA is the only globally recognized authority for setting safety standards for mountain equipment.
The event also provides a chance for the UIAA to interact with its sponsors, such as the Russian outdoor equipment manufacturer RedFox. RedFox recently became a sponsor for the UIAA 2012 Ice Climbing World Cup, which will take place in South Korea, Switzerland, France, Romania, and Russia.
Currently, the UIAA is seeking sponsors for other events, such as the Global Youth Summit. The most recent summit will be held in Khumjung, Nepal.
