The Architecture Museum of the Technical University of Munich is located in the Maxvorstadt Museum Quarter of Munich, Germany. Its founding history dates back to 1868. However, it was not until 1975 that the museum began systematically collecting and organizing architectural archives, documents, models, and other materials, and officially opened to the public.

The Architecture Museum of the Technical University of Munich houses the largest specialized architectural collection in Germany. The archive contains approximately 350,000 drawings by 700 architects, over 100,000 photographs, 500 models, a variety of plaster casts, sculptures, and architectural materials, as well as a large number of valuable architectural books and blueprints. More recent materials are computer-generated and printed. Among them are works by renowned masters, including drawings, photographs, and models. The oldest drawings in the museum’s collection date back to the 16th century, while the oldest model originates from the 17th century. The focus of the collection is on architectural art from the 18th to the 21st centuries. This museum is an excellent place to study and appreciate the essence of historic architecture and is beloved by architecture enthusiasts.
