It is the predecessor of medical schools in Shanxi Province and the earliest established higher medical school in the province. The original site covered an area of 84,000 square meters. Currently, only the two-story main building remains. It is a two-story brick-and-wood structure. The building has a concave floor plan, measuring 37.7 meters in length, 13.7 meters in width, and 13.35 meters in height, with a footprint of 520 square meters. The windows and doors around the building are Western-style wooden ones, and the central first-floor door and second-floor windows are flanked by Western-style half-columns. Inside the building, the hall and the second-floor lobby each have two Western-style columns. The decorations are delicate, exquisite, luxurious, and elegant. The architectural style combines traditional Chinese and Western elements.
