St. Joseph's Cathedral in Taiyuan

St. Joseph's Cathedral in Taiyuan is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

St. Joseph's Cathedral in Taiyuan, also known as Taiyuan Cathedral, was first built in the ninth year of the Tongzhi reign during the Qing Dynasty (1870). It was burned down in the Gengzi Year (1900) and rebuilt in the 31st year of the Guangxu reign (1905). The existing church is a Romanesque structure, standing approximately 37 meters tall. There are also over 70 auxiliary buildings, making it the largest church in the Taiyuan area.

In May 2013, St. Joseph's Cathedral in Taiyuan was listed as part of the seventh batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units. It is located on Jiefang Road, Xinghualing District.
