The Museum of Fine Arts’ collection, spread across two floors, is truly unique. Its holdings from Egypt’s ancient kingdoms are second only to those of the Cairo Museum. The museum houses some of the world’s greatest Japanese artworks—pieces collected by Edward Morse and Ernest Fenollosa during their travels to Japan in the 19th century.
