Essay contest “Festival & Entertainment Trip in the U.S.” – Win round-trip Taipei–U.S. flights!

Unique festivals from around the world always attract travelers, and the “My Dream American Vacation” campaign, jointly organized by the Commercial Section of the American Institute in Taiwan and the Taiwan Association for Tourism Promotion, runs for a full year and features four themed essay phases. From September 15 to December 15 this year, the theme is “Festival & Entertainment Trip in the U.S.”. Participants can submit an essay about their experience attending a festival or entertainment event in the U.S., or upload photos to the campaign website, for a chance to win a round-trip Taipei–U.S. flight!

The vast United States is filled with a joyful atmosphere, and its people love lively events, with all kinds of entertainment activities taking place almost every day. In the northwestern U.S., the state of Montana hosts a variety of celebrations throughout the year. The largest Native American celebration is the annual Crow Fair in August, the Bucking Horse Sales in mid-May, and the Custer’s Last Stand Re-enactment in June. In addition, film is one of Montana’s most iconic forms of entertainment. Famous movies such as A River Runs Through It, The Horse Whisperer, The Perfect Storm, and Field of Dreams were filmed here. Many Hollywood stars also own vacation cabins or ranches in Montana or even invest in the area, enjoying its breathtaking scenery and comfortable living environment.
 

The essay contest includes a photo submission category (Chinese text under 140 words; 1 photo under 3MB) and an article submission category (Chinese text between 800 and 1,600 words; 1 photo under 3MB). Just upload your work to the “My Dream American Vacation” website for a chance to win a round-trip Taipei–U.S. flight. General participants who vote may also have a chance to win a flight.
