The TOP 10 of the photo contest are out – the new season of “My Dream American Vacation” has started accepting submissions

The American Institute in Taiwan and the Taiwan Association for Tourism Promotion jointly organized the year-long “My Dream American Vacation” campaign. The third-season online photography contest themed “Landmarks & Attractions” has successfully concluded, and the fourth season’s theme is “Outdoor Adventures in America.” From now until June 15, anyone can submit photos (under 3MB) of themselves or friends and family participating in outdoor activities in the U.S., along with a caption of no more than 140 characters describing the activity, to the “My Dream American Vacation” website. Winners may receive a round-trip Taipei–U.S. flight sponsored by Delta Air Lines. Additionally, the public can browse the photo entries and vote before June 25 for a chance to also win a Delta Air Lines round-trip Taipei–U.S. flight.

The “My Dream American Vacation” campaign has accumulated nearly 30,000 page views from the first to the third seasons, with over 13,000 visits (including referrals and forwards). The third season saw an enthusiastic response, receiving a total of 573 photo entries. A professional jury selected 10 winning works, which have been published on the campaign website. The first-prize winner received a round-trip Taipei–U.S. flight sponsored by United Airlines. Additionally, the online voting giveaway drew a grand prize winner yesterday, who not only received a United Airlines-sponsored round-trip Taipei–U.S. flight but also a seven-day mid-size car rental in the U.S. sponsored by Hertz and five nights of local accommodation in Montana sponsored by the state of Montana. Five other lucky winners were also selected, receiving limited-edition bison leather coin purses from Montana and Delta Air Lines model airplanes.
