The American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) and the Taiwan Association for Tourism Promotion jointly launched a year-long campaign titled “My Dream American Holiday.” The third season’s online photography contest, themed “Landmarks and Attractions,” has concluded successfully, and the fourth season’s theme is “American Outdoor Adventure Trips.” From now until June 15, anyone can upload photos (under 3MB) of themselves or friends and family participating in outdoor activities in the U.S., along with a description of up to 140 words, to the “My Dream American Holiday” website. Winners may receive a round-trip ticket between Taipei and the U.S. sponsored by Delta Air Lines. Additionally, the public can vote on the photography entries before June 25 for a chance to win another Delta-sponsored round-trip ticket between Taipei and the U.S.

From the first to the third season, the “My Dream American Holiday” campaign has accumulated nearly 30,000 page views, with over 13,000 visits (including shares and forwards). The third season saw an enthusiastic response, receiving a total of 573 photo submissions. A professional panel selected 10 winning entries, which have been published on the campaign website. The first prize winner received a round-trip ticket between Taipei and the U.S. sponsored by United Airlines. An online voting draw also took place yesterday, awarding one grand prize winner a United Airlines-sponsored round-trip ticket between Taipei and the U.S., plus a 7-day mid-size car rental in the U.S. sponsored by Hertz, and 5 nights of local accommodation in Montana sponsored by the state of Montana. Additionally, five other lucky winners were drawn, each receiving a limited-edition bison leather coin purse from Montana and a Delta Air Lines model airplane.
