"My American Dream Vacation" Season 3: Upload Spring Photos for a Chance to Win Free Flights

Taiwan has been part of the U.S. Visa Waiver Program for over a year. According to official data released by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Office of Travel and Tourism Industries, in the first six months of the program’s implementation, the number of Taiwanese travelers visiting the U.S. increased by 23.8%, clearly indicating a rising interest and demand for travel to the United States. To respond to this growing enthusiasm for U.S. travel, the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) and the U.S. Travel Promotion Association jointly launched "My American Dream Vacation," inviting the public to submitspring photos from the U.S.for a chance to win free airline tickets.

U.S. President Barack Obama established the National Travel and Tourism Strategy with the goal of attracting 100 million international visitors to the U.S. by the end of 2021, which is expected to generate $250 billion in consumer spending. Since Taiwan became one of the countries under the U.S. Visa Waiver Program, it has played a key role in helping achieve this goal while further strengthening the economic partnership between Taiwan and the U.S.

To continue promoting the U.S., the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) and the U.S. Travel Promotion Association have jointly held "My American Dream Vacation" for three consecutive years. Centered around the four seasons, the campaign allows partner organizations to introduce seasonal attractions and activities each quarter. This season focuses on "spring," sharing beautiful outdoor experiences, joyful spring festivals, and exciting spring shopping experiences through press conferences and the website with media and the public.

The "My American Dream Vacation" campaign’s "American Spring" theme this season hopes to engage more travelers who have visited the U.S. From now until March 25, participants can upload their own or their friends’ and family’s photos taken in the U.S. during spring to the "My American Dream Vacation" website or share them via Facebook to be entered for a chance to win two round-trip tickets between Taipei and the U.S. on either United Airlines or Delta Air Lines.
