Guide     The History Behind the Church’s Fame: On the night of April 18, 1775, British troops planned to attack an ammunition depot in Concord, outside Boston. Patriotic hero Paul Revere hung two lanterns in the church steeple as a warning signal to inform comrades defending the arsenal, then rode through the night to spread the news, enabling the militia to prepare for battle and marking the beginning of the American Revolutionary War. The bronze equestrian statue in front of the church commemorates Paul Revere.     Introduction: Old North Church is the oldest church in Boston, built in 1723. It features a 175-foot three-tiered steeple. The exterior is made of brick, while the interior is pure white, decorated beautifully and brightly, full of colonial imprints that reflect the history of the time.     Ticket/Opening Hours     Opening Hours: 9:00–17:00, Sunday 8:30–11:00
