Introduction: Waikiki Beach is probably the most famous beach in the world and the most typical Hawaiian beach in the minds of most travelers. The beach area stretches one mile from Kapiolani Park at the foot of Diamond Head in the east to Ala Wai Yacht Harbor in the west, with up to 25,000 visitors daily.

The best part of the beach area is the section between the Royal Hawaiian Hotel and the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel. Here you'll find fine white sand, swaying coconut trees, and a skyline of high-rise buildings, spanning approximately three to four hundred meters in length. This stretch offers calm, open waters, making it an ideal spot for family holidays. For those who prefer livelier activities, head to the beach area between the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani and the Waikiki Hotel, where you can go boating, surfing, and take an evening stroll along the shore to admire the spectacular sunset. Moving inland from the shore, you’ll find the broader definition of “Waikiki,” home to countless shops, restaurants, and shopping centers. Kalakaua Avenue (also known as the Beach Walk) features Waikiki’s most luxurious hotels and shops, lined with well-spaced coconut trees that create a truly enchanting scene.
