Suzuka City

Suzuka City is a city located in northern Mie Prefecture, Japan, bordering Yokkaichi City, Tsu City, and Kameyama City, and approximately 50 kilometers southwest of Nagoya. The Suzuka Circuit is one of the city’s famous landmarks, earning the title of “Motor Sports City” in 2004.

Surrounded by Ise Bay to the east and the Suzuka Mountain Range and abundant nature to the west, Suzuka City is a place rich in natural beauty and steeped in traditional history and culture. It has developed as an industrial city, led by the automotive industry, and its Suzuka Circuit, which features an amusement park, hosts the World Championship race annually, attracting racing fans from all over the world. Spanning 2.05 million square meters, Suzuka Circuit includes an amusement park, an international racetrack, a hotel, and a natural hot spring, among other facilities. The amusement park offers numerous rides for children and innovative attractions for both adults and kids. The Kuwana-Chiyozaki Beach, with its white sands, beautiful pine trees, and shallow waters, becomes especially lively in the summer, drawing visitors from far and wide.

Suzuka is also known for its traditional crafts such as Ise washi paper used for yuzen and komon kimono fabrics, and Suzuka sumi ink. At the Suzuka Traditional Industries Hall, visitors can enjoy exhibitions, live demonstrations, and even try their hand at carving Ise washi.
