The Kansai region, full of cultural and tourism charm, is a popular choice for many visitors. With the captivating Mie Prefecture, Nara Prefecture known as the cradle of traditional culture, and Kyoto—a lifetime destination for travelers—the Kansai East Central FIT Committee has launched the online campaign "Travel in Kansai & Win Big" to boost travel interest among Taiwanese tourists. By purchasing Kansai-related products or tickets during the campaign period, participants can register for the lucky draw, with the grand prize being round-trip air tickets to Kansai International Airport in Osaka.
The "Kansai" region is located in the heart of Japan, referring to the outskirts of the ancient capital. For 1,300 years, up until the Edo shogunate, Japan’s political and economic center was situated in Kansai, which remains home to important tourist destinations. Exploring Kansai is made easy by riding the Kintetsu Railway, the private railway company with the longest operating routes. Celebrating its 100th anniversary on September 16, 2010, this historic railway allows travelers to comfortably discover the wonders of Kansai.
From now until December 31, the public can purchase Kansai region products from China Airlines’ Premium Travel, JAL’s individual free independent travel packages, or through six travel agencies—Kwong Tak, Fu Tai, JTB Taiwan (Setouchi), Ding Ye, Golden Castle, and Chuang Tso. By buying the "Kansai Railway Pass" or "Kintetsu Train Wide Area Pass" and registering the ticket number online, participants can win one round-trip air ticket to Osaka from China Airlines or JAL (2 winners), premium MIKIMOTO pearl necklaces and bracelets from Mie Prefecture, as well as 69 other exclusive items air-freighted from Japan, including Nara’s “Heijo-kyo 1300th Anniversary Festival” mascot—Heijokun plush toys, eco-friendly Heijokun bags, Iga ninja gear sets, and Matsusaka beef potato chips.
