Tsu

Tsu is the capital city of Mie Prefecture, Japan, located in the central part of the prefecture and facing Ise Bay. The city is home to the Anou and Iwata rivers. As the political, economic, cultural, and educational center of Mie Prefecture, it hosts Mie Prefectural University of Nursing.

Tsu’s Yuu Shrine is one of the best spots to view plum blossoms, where weeping plum trees are gracefully beautiful and a delight to the eye. The city boasts numerous historic sites, including Seiganji Temple, Rengein Sohma Temple, Shitennou-ji Temple, Takayama Shrine, Tsu Castle Ruins, Ishimizu Museum, Kitabatake Shrine, Karahasu Shrine, and Kawakamiyama Wakamiya Hachiman Shrine. Museums worth visiting include Mie Prefectural Art Museum and Mie Prefectural Museum. Other must-see attractions include Ishi Onsen, Mado Onsen, Sakakibara Onsen, Ishiyama Kannon Park, Tsu Ballpark Park, Karei Park, and Saisyo Lake.
