Toba City is a city located in the northeastern part of Shima Peninsula, Mie Prefecture, Japan. It borders Ise City to the west and Shima City to the south, and is renowned for its oyster farming. In modern times, Toba served as the political, economic, and cultural center of Shima Province, but after administrative reforms in the early Heisei era, this status was taken over by Ise City.
