Nagoya Science Museum

Introduction

The Nagoya Science Museum is located in Shirakawa Park and was opened in 1964. It is a comprehensive science museum where visitors can learn while enjoying the wonders of technology, space, and biological sciences. The main building of the Nagoya Science Museum is called the Science & Engineering Building, which showcases new achievements in science and technology, marine and space sciences, transportation science, chemistry, electronics and atomic energy, meteorology, and more, offering a rich variety of exhibits. The planetarium dome has a diameter of 20 meters and is equipped with one of Japan’s largest star projectors, accommodating up to 450 visitors. In 1989, a Life Science Building was added to introduce the latest developments in biological sciences.
