Asia’s second one yet to come: Japan’s Nagoya “LEGOLAND” to open in spring 2017

Following Disney and Universal Studios, the world-renowned large-scale theme park “LEGOLAND” will also make its way to Japan, with plans to open in Nagoya in spring 2017, becoming the world’s eighth LEGOLAND.
Nagoya’s LEGOLAND is located at Nagoya Port and covers an area of 93,000 square meters. The park is divided into six zones: LEGOLAND City, Adventure Land, MINILAND, LEGO Kingdom, LEGO Factory, and a shopping street. Due to its location in Nagoya, it features a 2-meter-tall LEGO recreation of Nagoya Castle built using over 220,000 LEGO bricks. In addition, there are LEGO-themed rides and attractions, including roller coasters.
Currently, there are small indoor LEGO parks in Tokyo’s Odaiba and Osaka, but this will be the first time a large-scale LEGOLAND theme park with rides has been introduced. Once completed, Nagoya LEGOLAND will become Asia’s second LEGOLAND after Malaysia.
