HOT DEAL ALERT: AirAsia Japan Makes a Comeback – Nagoya to Sapporo One-Way Flights Starting from Just ¥5

AirAsia Japan is making a strong comeback to the aviation scene. Today (the 16th), the airline announced that it will officially launch its first route — Nagoya to Sapporo — on October 29, becoming the first airline to establish its base at Chubu Centrair International Airport in Nagoya. To celebrate this launch, AirAsia Japan will be selling one-way tickets starting as low as ¥5 (approximately NT$2) from 00:01 JST on October 17, 2017, to 23:59 JST on October 22, 2017. Travel dates are available from October 29, 2017, to March 24, 2018.

Tony Fernandes, Group CEO of AirAsia, said that returning to the Japanese market was no easy feat and took a long time. He also added that while Japan is a wonderful country, the concept of low-cost carriers is not yet widely embraced. In the future, AirAsia aims to revolutionize the domestic low-cost airline industry in Japan and is confident it will become an important player in the Japanese aviation sector.
