Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens is located in Higashiyama Motomachi, Chikusa Ward, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, in central Japan. Established in 1937, it is one of the largest zoos in Japan and even Asia. In addition to being a zoo, Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens also features a botanical garden, amusement park, and the Higashiyama Sky Tower.
