Introduction

Over a hundred years ago, Aberdeen Bay was a fishing village and one of the earliest developed areas on Hong Kong Island. To this day, hundreds of boat-dwelling families still live here, preserving the traditional character of a fishing community. On the way to the bay by boat, you can capture many beautiful scenic views. The area has a strong fishing port atmosphere, with various types of fishing boats, seafood restaurants, and old-style Chinese sailboats docked in the bay. Many visitors also come here specifically to enjoy fresh seafood.

Transportation

1. Take MTR to Central Station, then go to the bus terminus and take Bus 7 or 70. 2. Ferries to Aberdeen are available from three locations on Lamma Island — Yung Shue Wan, Sok Kwu Wan, and Mo Tat Wan — as well as from Po Toi Island and Ap Lei Chau. Services operate from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
