Stanley Main Beach is located on the eastern side of Stanley in the Southern District of Hong Kong and is a well-known tourist destination in the city. It is famed for its long sandy shore, clear waters, and delicious barbecue, attracting visitors non-stop every day.

Since the colonial period of Hong Kong, Stanley has attracted swimmers from various places, and even today, residents continue to visit. The beach also draws people from Tai Koo to Shau Kei Wan who drive or take public transport to get there. They come not only to swim but also to enjoy barbecues and visit nearby attractions such as Stanley Plaza, Stanley Market, and Murray House. With its beautiful scenery—golden sands, blue skies, and sea that reflects the sky—it forms a stunning natural landscape, making it an ideal spot to enjoy sun and sand. In 2006, the Water Sports Centre officially opened, allowing windsurfing enthusiasts to enjoy water activities. It also served as the venue for the windsurfing events during the 2009 East Asian Games.

The barbecue area near Stanley Main Beach has become a must-visit spot, as barbecuing here is full of fun, and the delicious food wafts through the air, whetting everyone’s appetite.
