Introduction

Hong Kong’s rugged terrain features layers upon layers of undulating, crisscrossing, and steeply rising mountains. Amidst the urban landscape, it’s easy to assume that Hong Kong is a city without a horizon. However, in the northwest of the New Territories, Hong Kong still retains vast expanses of fields and wetlands. Situated to the east of Yuen Long in the New Territories, Nam Sang Wai is one of the enchanting wetland spots where you can still experience the feeling of open skies and wide horizons. 1. Take the MTR West Rail Line to Yuen Long Station and then transfer to a taxi (approximately HK$20). 2. Take the MTR East Rail Line to Fanling Station or the MTR West Rail Line to Yuen Long Station, then take bus route 76K to the foot of the West Rail Bridge or near Route 3.
