Nulahong Ski Resort is located 37 kilometers from the county town and 55 kilometers from Yining City. With an average altitude of 1,800 meters and covering an area of about 2,000 acres, it is one of the closest alpine ski resorts to Yining City. The snow quality is excellent, and transportation is convenient.

The snow at Nulahong Ski Resort lasts long, and there are no strong seasonal winds. The ski runs are set in a gently sloping, wide valley that runs northeast to southwest, divided into upper and lower sections. The lower section is about 1,200 meters long and 150 meters wide, with a slope of approximately 40 degrees. The upper section is on a gentle mountain ridge with no fixed runs and a slope of 15–20 degrees. The resort features deep soil layers with no exposed bedrock, and winter snow cover reaches 30–50 centimeters. The area has an average annual temperature of 4°C, and during winter it lies within an inversion layer, resulting in relatively mild climatic conditions. The climate, terrain, and snow conditions are all well-suited for skiing activities. The ski season is relatively long, typically running from late November to March of the following year.

In winter, Nulahong is blanketed in white, with the Tianshan Mountains covered in snow and the spruce forests and Tasmanian pines presenting a deep green hue. Boasting unique geographical and resource advantages, we aim to develop it into an ice and snow leisure sports base themed around the Xibo ethnic culture and history.
