Ning'er Coffee
Ning'er Coffee is a specialty of Ning'er County, Pu'er City, Yunnan Province. Ning'er Hani and Yi Autonomous County is one of the main producing areas of Pu'er small-grain coffee.
The natural conditions in Ning'er Hani and Yi Autonomous County—including light, heat, water, and soil—are excellent, offering strong potential for biological growth. Areas at altitudes of 1200 meters and below, with slopes under 25 degrees, are particularly well-suited for coffee cultivation.
Ning'er introduced coffee seedlings for trial planting in 1987, achieving success. Starting in 1989, large-scale coffee cultivation began in townships such as Puyi, Liming, Mohan, and Dehua along the Bianjiang and Xiaohai River basins. By the end of 2012, the county’s coffee-growing area had reached over 100,000 mu, with more than 80,000 mu in production, making it one of the major coffee-producing regions in Pu'er City.
