Recently, a vast sea of flowers has made its debut at the Daihai Tourist Resort. Dozens of colorful ribbons composed of pink, yellow, purple, red, and other hues of flowers stretch for several kilometers, creating a spectacular sight from afar that has drawn many tourists to take photos. Coinciding with the 70th anniversary celebration of the establishment of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Inner Mongolia Yuchuang International Tourism Asset Management Co., Ltd. has also planned a calligraphy and painting artists’ gathering, a drone show, the opening of the water park, and a sea lion performance titled "Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix," among other activities.

Calligraphers and painters in Ulanqab hold a gathering to bless the flower festival
On August 12, a unique calligraphy and painting gathering will be held within the Daihai Tourist Resort. The artists participating in this event come from Ulanqab. They have created works to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Autonomous Region and to offer their blessings for Ulanqab’s first flower festival. Participants include Song Xuewen, a member of the Inner Mongolia Calligraphers Association and president of the Ulanqab Painting and Calligraphy Academy; Cao Biao, a renowned calligrapher and researcher at the Inner Mongolia Research Institute of Culture and History; Yao Yifan, a famous painter and researcher at the Inner Mongolia Research Institute of Culture and History; Wei Tao, a well-known painter and member of the Inner Mongolia Artists Association; Wang Yunshan, a member of the Xiling Seal Art Society and the China Calligraphers Association; Wang Zhiqiang, vice president of the Ulanqab Painting and Calligraphy Academy and a celebrated painter; Han Yongbin, vice president of the Ulanqab Writers Association and a famous lyricist; as well as over 30 other calligraphers and painters. Distinguished guests such as Fu Xi, chairman of the Ulanqab Musicians Association, a famous poet, writer, literary critic, and Wang Baoshun, vice chairman of the Ulanqab Musicians Association and a renowned composer, are also joining to lend their support.
The mountains, rivers, grass, and trees of their hometowns serve as sources of inspiration for these painters. This calligraphy and painting gathering is being held by the shores of Daihai Lake, in harmony with the vast expanse of flowers, creating an open-air setting that captures the spiritual essence of nature. The collective artistry of the artists, who will also present their works as gifts to visiting guests, allows tourists to not only enjoy the natural scenery but also receive a cultural gift.
Birds join the fun, while dolphins and sea lions put on a show
After enjoying a rich cultural experience, various spirited animals will also join in the celebration. To enhance the natural interaction between visitors and animals, the organizers have planned an exhibition called "Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix," featuring over 30 different species of parrots. Visitors can not only observe them up close but also learn about bird conservation and environmental protection.
Equally appealing to visitors as the "Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix" exhibit is the dolphin and sea lion performance. For the first time ever, shows featuring dolphins and sea lions—previously only seen in coastal cities—will come to Liangcheng, bringing thrilling entertainment to the plateau residents. During the performances, visitors can watch the intelligent dolphins and adorable sea lions deliver extremely cute acts, which are sure to delight children.
Water park opens; Liangcheng’s first aquatic entertainment venue debuts at Daihai
As Liangcheng’s first aquatic entertainment project, the Daihai Water Park is also set to grandly open on August 12, providing a space for both locals and tourists to enjoy water-based recreation. Located within the Daihai scenic area, the water park covers a total area of 6,600 square meters and features four zones: a deep-water area, a play area, a beach entertainment area, and a dining and leisure section, offering more choices for family fun. The deep-water area has a large swimming pool designed for adults, while the play area centers around animal themes favored by children, featuring giant inflatable slides, pools, and floating objects, including a 15-meter-tall dragon slide to ensure safe fun. The beach entertainment area offers activities such as beach volleyball, sand sculpture, and sandbox excavators suitable for visitors of all ages. For those who need a rest, the two-story "Octopus Cruise" offers dining and leisure options.
In addition to its comprehensive functional design, the water park places great emphasis on hygiene and environmental protection. It has its own water circulation and treatment system to ensure clean water quality, along with modern facilities that support sustainability, integrating seamlessly with the Daihai scenic area.
This summer, whether you’re drawn by flowers or the sea, culture or entertainment, humanity or nature—all are ready at Daihai. All you need to do is bring your family, enjoy the natural beauty of Daihai, and share precious moments together.
