The Charles Kuonen Suspension Bridge spans the famous Matterhorn peak in Switzerland, renowned for its spectacular Alpine scenery. The bridge is 494 meters long and only 65 centimeters wide, suspended 85 meters (approximately 30 stories) above the mountains and crossing Switzerland’s deepest gorge—offering a magnificent and captivating view.

The Charles Kuonen Suspension Bridge surpasses Germany’s 459-meter-long “Titan RT” suspension bridge to become the longest in the world. With this bridge, travelers can reduce their journey between the towns of Zermatt and Grächen by about three hours compared to the previous 3–4 hour route via the “Europaweg” mountain road.
