Every year from August to October, the most important floral event is the blooming of golden needle flower seas. During the flowering season, in addition to the well-known Hualien’s Sixty Stone Mountain, Chikuo Mountain, and Taimali, there are other hidden gems and scenic spots where you can admire the beautiful yellow-orange flower seas. Below are six golden needle flower spots across Taiwan:

1. Taichung - Muxin Spring Leisure Farm
Muxin Spring Leisure Farm not only boasts over 8 hectares of expansive land and a high-altitude location with views of Wine Barrel Mountain and the Dajia River, but at night you can also gaze at the starry sky and overlook the neon lights of Taichung. 2. Nantou - Toushe Basin

3. Hualien – Chikuo Mountain

When the flowering season arrives every year between August and September, farmers are busy with harvesting, sun-drying, and drying work. In addition to the bright yellow golden needle flower seas, you can also visit the famous “Three Sceneries of Chikuo,” which include three black volcanic rocks located in the golden needle fields, the uniquely shaped Thousand-Ton Stone Turtle as a natural landmark, and the Wang family’s century-old house that has a history of over 40 years.

4. Hualien – Sixty Stone Mountain
Every summer is the season of the magnificent golden-yellow golden needle flower seas. The annual Hualien Golden Needle Flower Season runs from August 5 to September 24, with golden needle flowers passionately blooming on both Yuli’s Chikuo Mountain and Fuli’s Sixty Stone Mountain during the summer heat. This year, the golden needle flower sea spans an area of 63.15 hectares. In addition to launching a natural ecological tour that allows daytime flower viewing and nighttime stargazing for the first time, the flower season also features a limited-time “Spike of the Grain” rice product available for a short time only.
