After five years of construction, the 2.6-kilometer Zaobridge Datian (Longf Lake) Trail has officially opened, and the “Summer Stroll: Datian Nature Walk” event was held to attract many locals who were among the first to experience the waterfront charm of the lakeside trail. Datian is adjacent to National Freeway No. 1, the Dashan Interchange of National Freeway No. 3, and the Miaoli HSR Station, making it easily accessible. With its beautiful scenery of lake and mountain, it offers the public a convenient way to get close to the waterfront, embrace nature, and experience Miaoli’s natural landscapes and cultural charm.

The lake covers an area of 11 hectares. In the past, some parts of the lakeside area were overgrown with weeds, affecting the view. The Miaoli Irrigation Association, which owns the lake, along with the Chen brothers, donated about one hectare of land free of charge. After five years of transformation, the area has been completely revitalized. The 2.6-kilometer flat lakeside trail offers sweeping views of the beautiful scenery.Nearby are the 300-year-old Beiji Temple, the 68-year-old Lingtian Zen Temple, and the 42-year-old Longhu Temple, all set against a pleasant landscape.
