The Cascading Waterfall Gorge is located in a canyon in the low mountainous area at the southern foot of the Tianshan Mountains, at an altitude of 1,857 meters. It is the closest waterfall to Wensu County. The waterfall originates from a cluster of springs in the green highlands above and flows year-round. Due to tectonic movements that caused the uplift and subsidence of the strata, steep slopes and gorges were formed, giving rise to the waterfall. The waterfall has nine tiers with varying drops, the highest of which reaches 25 meters. The waterfall scenery changes with the seasons and differs greatly between day and night. During summer and autumn, when there is more floodwater, the water flow is at its most abundant, the waterfall layers thicken, and the water appears yellowish and turbid. At this time, the waterfall plunges down the cliffs, smashing like gold and jade, creating a truly spectacular sight. In winter and spring, the water volume decreases, the flow becomes clear, and the waterfall takes on a uniquely graceful and delicate charm.
