Xiyou Theme Park, a national A-level tourist attraction, is situated on the fringe of the ancient tomb cluster in Wensu County. It was built and commenced operations at the end of September 2007. The park spans a total area of 20 mu, featuring 320 ornamental fruit trees that have been purchased and planted, 1,200 m² of landscaped greenery, 480 m² of artificial water bodies, a 1,500 m² artificial lotus pond, and 520 m² of garden pathways. The park currently employs 20 staff members and can accommodate up to 200 visitors at a time. “Xiyou Theme Park” is the only tourism site in Xinjiang themed around the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West, featuring classical Chinese architectural styles. It is inspired by the character of Zhu Bajie, also known as the “Marshal Tianpeng,” from the novel. The park showcases amusing sculptures and murals depicting scenes such as “Zhu Bajie Carrying His Wife,” “Sun Wukong Imprisoned Under the Five Elements Mountain,” and “Tang Sanzang and His Disciples Being Rewarded After Successfully Obtaining the Scriptures.” The main activities include sightseeing, dining, and leisure, making it an ideal destination for visitors seeking relaxation and entertainment.
