The Kekeya Afforestation Project has become an important brand of the Aksu region. It is a significant human endeavor to improve the living environment, and its large-scale green landscapes serve as key ecological attractions for visitors. The southern section of Kekeya Lake features tens of thousands of acres of ecological fruit orchards, which are part of the fourth phase of the Kekeya Afforestation Project. The planted species include walnuts and red dates, with strong individual landscape effects. Fruit picking can also serve as a tourism attraction. Xinjiang suffers from water scarcity, especially in the southern region, yet people naturally prefer to rest and recreate near water. Kekeya Lake not only provides irrigation for the southern tens of thousands of acres of ecological fruit orchards but also serves as an important water-themed cultural landscape. Through the development of the lake, water-derived tourism products can also attract visitors from surrounding areas of the project zone.
