General Ma Fuchen’s Tomb

General Ma Fuchen’s Tomb [1.5 km north of Wensu Town · Qing Dynasty · County-level Cultural Relics Protection Unit] faces south and is enclosed by walls. A stone stele is inlaid on the northern wall of the tomb chamber, inscribed in intaglio, measuring 1.4 m in height, 0.73 m in width, and 0.15 m in thickness. Three vertical lines of Chinese characters are inscribed from right to left: “On the 26th day of the 8th month of the 10th year of the Guangxu reign□□/Tomb of the Imperial Qing’s Honorary Martial General Ma Fuchen/erected by his son and nephews Tengsheng and Dengtu.” It is an Islamic-style adobe structure with a square floor plan and a domed roof. The interior ceiling and side walls are adorned with painted patterns and Arabic calligraphy, giving it a distinctive character.
