The Tagalak Tomb Cluster

The Tagalak Tomb Cluster [West of Tahelake Pasture · County-level Cultural Relics Protection Unit] is located on the alluvial fan at the southern foothills of the Tianshan Mountains. There are approximately 30 known tombs, with circular stone mounds built from gravel on the surface, about 0.2–0.3 meters high. These are surrounded by stone enclosures, with gravel in the middle. There are two types of stone enclosures: one is circular, with a diameter of about 10–20 meters, and the other is rectangular, with sides measuring approximately 6x3 meters. Typically, 2–3 small circular stone rings, each about 0.5–0.6 meters in diameter, are arranged around the larger enclosures. No excavation or clearance has been carried out, and the age of the tombs remains unknown.
