The Ancient City Site of Pochengzi

The Ancient City Site of Pochengzi is a cultural tourism attraction.

The ancient city of Pochengzi is located 25 kilometers northeast of Bozidun Township, at the southern exit of the Tianshan XiaTa Ancient Road, a strategic mountain pass. Its exact date of construction is unknown. The city lies to the east of the Muzart River and to the west of the Kulukderyasi Mountain, occupying a naturally defensible position that can be described as "one man at the gate holds off ten thousand." The overall site is an irregular rectangle, covering an area of approximately 18,400 square meters. The remaining walls are about 3.5–4 meters high, with watchtowers positioned at the corners. Each tower has a diameter of 5 meters at the top and 8 meters at the base, standing 5 meters tall. Both the city walls and the watchtowers were built using a mixture of pebble stones and yellow clay. At the northwest corner of the northern wall, near the western cliff, there is a stone barrier wall that connects to the mountain, stretching 100 meters in length and 1.5 meters in height. Near the middle and slightly north of this barrier wall, there is a raised stone platform about 3 meters high.
