Yinchuan Wenchang Pavilion

Yinchuan Wenchang Pavilion is a cultural heritage site protected by Yinchuan.

Located in Zhongshan Park, Yinchuan. It is a three-story pavilion-style building constructed on a square platform, facing east and backed by the west. The structure has three bays in width and one bay in depth, with three arched doors and windows on the eastern side of each floor. A wooden staircase is installed on the western exterior wall, providing access to all levels. The second and third floors are enclosed by wooden railings, allowing visitors to enjoy the view from the balcony.

Constructed under the advocacy of Xie Weifeng, the prefect of Ningxia, in the 18th year of the Guangxu reign (1892) of the Qing Dynasty, and completed in the 28th year of Guangxu (1902). It underwent multiple renovations after the liberation, with a major reconstruction carried out in 1984.

Wenchang Pavilion is one of the ancient buildings in Yinchuan that has been preserved to this day, holding significant importance for the study of the city’s architectural history. On April 24, 1993, it was designated as part of the second batch of cultural heritage sites by the Yinchuan Municipal People's Government.
