Jiulong Mountain

Jiulong Mountain is located on the west bank of the Qingshui River, about 1 kilometer southwest of Guyuan City. It got its name because the mountain resembles nine giant dragons emerging from Xianglu Mountain, flowing down along the valley, with the main ridge heading straight for Guyuan City. Temple architecture is an important part of the scenic beauty of Jiulong Mountain. Every famous mountain and historic site is complemented by simple yet classic structures such as halls, pavilions, and terraces that enhance the landscape. Temples have been built on Jiulong Mountain since early times, serving as places for worship and sightseeing for local villagers and devotees. In ancient times, Jiulong Mountain was known as the “Mountain of the Nine Immortals’ Temples.”
