Shengxi Lake Forest Park is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Shengxi Lake Forest Park is an ecological leisure park primarily featuring plant landscape designs. It stretches from the Zhangjiazhuang Reservoir Dam in the west to 200 meters east of Yingbin Road Bridge in the east, borders Fanjiazhuang in the south, and adjoins Zhangjiazhuang in the north. The park spans 1,600 meters from east to west and 700–900 meters from north to south, covering an area of 1,500 mu. The estimated investment is 210 million yuan, with a cumulative investment of 180 million yuan to date. Construction began on April 15, 2007, and over the course of 14 months, 55 individual recreational and service projects were completed, including one vehicle bridge, two pedestrian bridges, 150,000 square meters of waterways, and four artificial lakes with a total area of 50,000 square meters. Over 100 species of trees and shrubs were planted, totaling 190,000 plants, along with 700,000 square meters of lawn, achieving a greened area of 1,200 mu. Upon completion, Shengxi Lake Forest Park consists of three major scenic areas: the Xiao River Scenic Area, the Central Scenic Area, and the Riverside Leisure Area.

The total planned investment for the entire park is 340 million yuan, with the completed first phase having received an investment of 180 million yuan. From the groundbreaking ceremony to the ribbon-cutting and official opening, the project took 14 months. Shengxi Lake Forest Park is an ecological leisure park that showcases a modern garden style, integrates regional environmental characteristics, and highlights the charm of plant landscapes. The park is broadly composed of three major scenic areas: the Xiao River Scenic Area, the Central Scenic Area, and the Riverside Leisure Area, and currently has three entrances in the southeast, southwest, and northeast. The green landscaping area has reached 1,200 mu, with over 160 species and 190,000 trees and shrubs thriving vibrantly, and 200,000 square meters of lawn spreading out like a green carpet.

The park’s lush trees and lawns, pavilions and towers, rockeries and waterfalls, as well as lakes and streams, create picturesque scenery. The landscape river bridges feature unique designs, the water is crystal clear, and the artificial lakes have their own distinctive charm, with shimmering surfaces reflecting the vitality and allure of Xiaoyi City. The park not only provides residents with an optimal venue for leisure, sightseeing, and fitness but also pioneers a new urban development pattern of “one lake flanked by two banks” for Xiaoyi, adding new charm to this historic city rich in cultural heritage. As a people-benefiting project meticulously developed by the municipal Party committee and government to build a garden city and a livable city, its completion demonstrates the vision and boldness of the decision-makers, while also providing strong spiritual momentum for the sound and rapid development of Xiaoyi in the future.
