Xiaoyi Lüzu Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Chunyang Palace (commonly known as "Lüzu Temple") was built between the 14th year of the Hongwu reign and the 3rd year of the Tianqi reign during the Ming Dynasty. It is located in Qiaobei Village, about a hundred meters west of the southern gate of the ancient town of Xiaoyi, covering an area of over 1,100 square meters. The main hall houses a statue of Lü Dongbin, featuring vivid golden fish-colored clay sculptures and a complete set of ritual objects. The side halls contain statues of Laozi and the God of Wealth, respectively. The buildings feature red walls and green tiles, with carved beams and painted rafters, exuding an antique charm. The western flower garden is adorned with rare flowers, pavilions, terraces, small bridges, and winding streams, creating a beautiful and pleasant garden landscape that blends seamlessly with the ancient temple, complementing each other beautifully.

According to elderly residents, Lüzu Temple has always been a place of thriving incense offerings, numerous worshippers, frequent religious ceremonies, and highly efficacious fortune-telling through divination sticks and coins. The temple fair begins on the 14th day of the fourth lunar month (the birthday of Lüzu) every year, featuring stage performances and opera shows, creating a lively and bustling atmosphere. The festivities last for over a month. Today’s Lüzu Temple integrates Taoist art, garden design, and scenic beauty, making it a striking highlight of the ancient town and a popular destination for worshippers, Taoism enthusiasts, leisure travelers, and tourists.
