The Golden Dragon Mountain Cultural Tourism Scenic Area is situated to the west of Xiatusi Village in Gaoyang Town, on the southern bank of Linshui Village, adjacent to Xiabao River to the north and Provincial Highway Xiaoshi Line to the south. It is 7 kilometers away from Xiaoyi City center, enjoying a superior geographical position and convenient transport links. Along with other local attractions such as Xiaoyi Wetland Park, the Ancient Jin Merchant Post Road, Shengxi Lake Forest Park, and Linhuang Pagoda, it forms a unique cultural tourism route. The scenic area features beautiful natural scenery and profound cultural heritage. Major attractions include the Chongxiao Temple, Guanyin Grand Buddha, Wenchang Pavilion, Immortal Tower, God of Wealth Hall, Jingde Shrine, Qingyun Eighteen Steps, Golden Dragon Hall, Five Blessings Pavilion, Golden Dragon Spring, Guanyin Hall, and a picking and sightseeing garden. It serves as a convergence point of Chinese Buddhist culture, Taoist culture, and local filial piety culture. The Golden Dragon Mountain heritage site enjoys great prestige among locals. An ancient stone inscription reads: “To the south bank of Linshui Village in the western part of Xiaoyi, there is a mountain called Shiba Jia. At its summit once stood the temple of the Golden Dragon King. It faces the thriving waters in the front, with clear springs gushing to the left. The mountain layers rise like a staircase to the clouds, while the majestic temple appears as if opening the distant Dragon Gate. In the past, this place flourished with talent and attracted numerous officials—could this not be attributed to the silent blessing of the divine and the flourishing feng shui?”
