The village of Longshu Dam is located 5 kilometers southwest of Xinjie Town. The terraces at Longshu Dam have a different nutrient composition in the water compared to other terraces, which results in an abundance of duckweed in shades of red, green, and yellow—vibrant and colorful.

Very few people come to Longshu Dam; it requires a walk of several hours. If you have a vehicle, it needs to be a 4x4 or a small car. Once at the attraction, you’ll have to hike up to the mountainside and walk along very narrow field ridges—it’s quite challenging.

But due to the refraction of sunlight, the terraces shimmering with silver light surround the small village, while wisps of cooking smoke drift from the houses. In the afterglow of the sunset, the terraces display a mix of red, white, and black, resembling a color-block painting—absolutely stunning.
