Swan Lake Scenic Area

Swan Lake Scenic Area is located 22.5 kilometers northwest of Xishui County, at an altitude of 976.4 meters, with an average annual temperature of 1.4°C. The lake stretches approximately two li in length from north to south and about one li in width. Various birds such as swans, cranes, storks, and wild ducks often inhabit and breed around the lake. The scenic area includes the following attractions:

Magic Mirror: Over 100 meters above the water surface, on a cliff, lies a large, round, white rock spanning dozens of square meters. Shimmering under sunlight and moonlight, it is crystal clear. Legend has it that this was the treasure used by Zhang Sanfeng to subdue an evil dragon.

Seven Immortals Rock: A large purple-red round stone near the entrance to the lake, said to be the embodiment of seven immortals who were so captivated by the lake and mountain scenery that they chose not to leave.

Rhinoceros Rock: Located to the west of the lake, at an altitude of over 1,500 meters, where a spring gushes out from among the mountains. The stream winds through the peaks, resembling a pair of mating mandarin ducks, hence called “Mandarin Duck Valley.” Towering peaks line both banks, ancient trees reach skyward, banana plants grow densely, and rugged rocks emerge here and there. Midway along the valley stands an ancient temple built against the rock, capable of accommodating several hundred people.
